OUR STORY
The Croatian Network of Marine Protected Areas (CroMPA) was established in 2021 in response to the need for stronger coordination and cooperation among stakeholders in marine protection. It was created in the challenging circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, as part of the Interreg Med project MPA NETWORKS, led by MedPAN - the Mediterranean Network of Marine Protected Areas Managers.
Cooperation for the future of the Adriatic
The establishment of the network brought together representatives of all 15 public institutions managing marine protected areas along the Croatian coast. The signing of the Cooperation Agreement set a common vision for the conservation of the Adriatic Sea, based on the sharing of knowledge, experiences and resources.
