By establishing the CroMPA, Croatia has made a significant step forward in terms of marine conservation, which many other countries have not yet achieved. The Cooperation Agreement signed in 2021 on the Brijuni Islands by all 15 marine public institutions defined certain aspects of action, however, they needed to be activated and further developed in order for the Network to be functional and beneficial to its members and the entire nature protection system, especially with regard to the realization of the goals for marine protection (30/10) and more efficient management of the MZP based on the EU Biodiversity Strategy until 2030.
